This museum, inaugurated Saturday, January 7 by HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, reaffirms the Royal vision that promotes culture and arts, and emphasizes the national cultural heritage in all its diversity, said a statement by the National Foundation of Museums (FNM).
The new scenography gives a complete idea on the geography of Morocco, including the cultural specificities of each region, the contact areas, the history of the country as well as the workshops of production of the pieces, said the same source, adding that the collection presents pieces of great cultural, historical and aesthetic value.
The FNM also said that HM King Mohammed VI was willing to share with Moroccans and foreign visitors His collection of Berber jewelry and rare pieces, which show the innovative and well distinguished character of the national genius and its ancestral know-how.
The National Finery Museum represents the 14th art center managed by the FNM which comes to enrich the museum palette, within the framework of the program “Rabat, city of light, capital of the culture,” according to the same source.
