These agreements relate to the implementation of projects to improve access to services and facilities of proximity, the rehabilitation of the road network in under-equipped neighborhoods, and strengthening the economic and tourist attractiveness of the medinas across the national territory, the minister said in response to a question on the “City Policy” asked by the group of progress and socialism during the session of oral questions in the House of Representatives.
She also stressed that since 2015, 200 agreement have been signed with public investments of 63 billion dirhams, in which the contribution of the Ministry reached 11 billion dirhams, noting that the projects carried out under these conventions have improved the living conditions of more than 10 million citizens.
As part of the city policy, the Ministry has adopted an intervention strategy with a local dimension, supporting and supervising local initiatives, said El Mansouri, recalling that these initiatives are based on consultation with stakeholders and actors concerned at the territorial level to develop integrated projects.
