These talks focused mainly on issues relating to the foreign policy of Morocco and Estonia, chairperson of the parliamentary group Morocco-Estonian friendship, Raivo Tamm, told MAP.
He expressed, moreover, his joy to have had the opportunity to visit the southern provinces, including the city of Dakhla, after a long wait.
Tamm held a series of meetings in Rabat, focusing on ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
During a meeting on Monday with the Speaker of the House of Councillors, Enaam Mayara, he said that the creation of the Moroccan-Estonian parliamentary group is motivated by the desire to strengthen bilateral parliamentary cooperation, noting that Morocco is a neighboring country of the European Union and that the cross-border challenges require the strengthening of cooperation between the two parties to be able to face them together.
The chairperson of the Moroccan-Estonian parliamentary friendship group has also welcomed, during talks Tuesday with the Minister of Tourism, Handicraft and Social Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, the historical and cultural ties uniting the two countries, reiterating his country’s willingness to further strengthen cooperation with the Kingdom.
