Tangier – The North American team, Seattle Sounders FC, arrived Thursday at Tangier International Airport, to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup, which takes place in Morocco from February 1 to 11 in the cities of Rabat and Tangier.

The Seattle Sounders, winners of the Concacaf Champions League, will begin their adventure in the Club World Cup by facing the Egyptian club Al Ahly of Cairo, which dominated the New Zealand club Auckland City, representative of the Oceania Football Confederation, in the first round match of the competition.

Seattle Sounders FC is the first Major League Soccer (MLS) team to lift the Concacaf trophy and the first U.S. club to play in the Club World Cup, which is being held for the third time in Morocco.
