‘Challah’ Ship Inaugurated in Casablanca Port

Rabat – The inauguration ceremony of the “Challah” ship took place Friday at the Casablanca port, in the presence of the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohammed Abdeljalil.

In a statement, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics said that Abdeljalil was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Morocco and the governor of the Casa-Anfa prefecture.

This new ship belonging to the petroleum coasting company PETROCAB and built by the South Korean shipyard Dae Sun Shipbuilding & Engineering, reinforces the fleet under Moroccan flag, adds the same source.

It will bring the commercial fleet to 16 vessels and the fleet of oil tankers to 4, with a total capacity of transporting hydrocarbons of about 30,700 tons, reports the statement, adding that this oil fleet plays a strategic role in the distribution of petroleum products in different regions of the Kingdom, especially in the southern provinces.
