25th Lions Clubs International Mediterranean Conference Kicks off in Tangier

Tangier – The 25th Mediterranean Conference of Lions Clubs International kicked off Friday in Tangier, under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI.

This event, organized by the Lions Club International and the Lions Club District 416 Morocco, under the theme “Challenges and Emergencies of the Mediterranean for the 21st Century”, brings together more than 25 countries and more than 300 Lions who will discuss several themes, namely “Climate Emergency and Social Impact: Lions Commitment”, “Supporting Women’s Role in Mediterranean Society”, “The Immersed in the Mediterranean” and “Services”.

This conference aims to promote friendship and mutual understanding among Lions of the Mediterranean Sea, compare lionistic experiences and discuss topics and activities related to the association’s themes, carry out joint activities and discuss and address issues of common interest.

During this two-day event, which is held in Morocco, in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, the Lions of the Mediterranean tend to strengthen the ties that already unite them and to weave others, in order to further broaden the contours of their actions and to promote the emergence of a more effective, more efficient network in which each individual brings his or her experience and expertise, altruism and dynamism.
