Unproven Technical Allegations: CNDP Receives Representatives from Amnesty International Morocco

Rabat – The CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel) received, Thursday, representatives from Amnesty International Morocco, as part of the auditions it is conducting on its initiative, concerning the unproven technical allegations made by The Citizen Lab / Amnesty International / Forbidden Stories.

“Specifying that it does not have the technical expertise to respond to the CNDP, Amnesty International Morocco supports the CNDP’s wish to receive technical representatives from Amnesty International who are based in Germany, as well as technical representatives from The Citizen Lab who are based in Canada, and will work to facilitate contacts,” said the CNDP Friday in a statement.

Furthermore, and still in the context of these auditions, the CNDP announces that it is receiving an independent Canadian expert on Saturday February, 25 th 2023.

The CNDP recently announced that it “has decided to audition all the national and international technical experts, willing to present and share their analyses and conclusions”, about the unproven technical allegations of Citizen Lab, Amnesty International and Forbidden Stories.

The CNDP is an institution of right, acting on the basis of proven facts and according to the provisions of Law 09-08 related to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.
