Speaking on this occasion, chairman of the jury, Mohamed Afailal, former president of District 416 Morocco, stressed that this competition aims to reward innovative projects meant to improve the living conditions of the community, noting that out of 26 projects submitted by 8 countries, namely Lebanon, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, France, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco, 18 have been shortlisted.

“These 18 projects all impressed the jury with their ideas, their commitment, their involvement, their content and their desire to win one of the three prizes,” he said, noting that the competition was tough and tight, given the power of the ideas and the approach to their implementation.

In this regard, he congratulated and thanked all the clubs that participated in this first edition, expressing the wish that this contest be the starting point of an activity nourished and developed by all the Lions Districts around the Mediterranean.
