Morocco, Credible Strategic Partner for France and EU (French MP)

Paris – Morocco is a “credible strategic partner for France and the European Union (EU),” French MP Christophe Naegelen said.

“By its geographical location and its development level, Morocco is expected to continue its role as a bridge between the African and European continents,” said Naegelen, who is also member of the Committee on National Defense and Armed Forces at the French National Assembly, during a meeting with Morocco’s Consul General in Strasbourg, Driss El Kaissi.

The Kingdom sets itself up as a “key player in the peace in the Middle East,” said Naegelen, quoted in a statement from the consulate.

He also commended the royal initiative to launch a New Development Model, which aims at economic growth and employment generation and a better redistribution of wealth, the statement added.

The French MP also highlighted the dynamism of the Moroccan community in France and its leading role in strengthening economic and socio-cultural relations.
