By segment, the number of new registrations of passenger vehicles (PV) recorded a decline of 8.71%, with 33,757 units sold at the end of March 2022, while that of light commercial vehicles (LCV) showed a decline of 30.82%, with 3,059 units sold, AIVAM said.
The brand Dacia dominates the VP segment, with a market share of 24.53%, or 3,060 units sold at the end of March 2023, followed by Renault which sold 1,879 units (market share of 15.06%) and Hyundai (1,530 units and 12.26% market share), said the same source.
As for the LCV segment, Renault has sold 229 units (20.02% market share), ahead of DFSK which has sold 224 vehicles (19.58% market share) and Hyundai with 168 units (14.69% market share).
On the premium side, BMW sold 358 units, a market share of 2.87%, ahead of Audi (350 units and a market share of 2.81%, and Mercedes (274 units and a share of 2.20%).
For its part, Porsche has sold 64 units, with a market share of 0.51%, while Jaguar sales have reached 11 cars (0.09%).
