Four Individuals Arrested in Mohammedia for Alleged Links to International Drug Trafficking Network

Mohammedia – Elements of the National Anti-Drugs Bureau, under the National Brigade of the Judicial Police, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), managed, Friday, to arrest four people for their alleged links with a criminal network active in international drug trafficking.

According to a security source, this security operation, conducted in El Mansouria near the city of Mohammedia, resulted in the arrest of four people for their alleged involvement in international drug trafficking operations by sea.

The search operations carried out in this case, said the same source, have resulted in the seizure of two dinghies, 48 jerry cans filled with gasoline, a utility vehicle and several air pumps, suspected used in this criminal activity.

The arrest of suspects, notes the same source, comes within the framework of ongoing investigations conducted by the services of the National Security and the DGST against the background of dismantling a criminal network of international drug trafficking in El Jadida, and the failure of a trafficking operation of 629 kgs of Chira dated February 21, whose investigations have led, until this stage of research, the arrest of 21 individuals for their direct involvement in this criminal activity.
