Casablanca: Arrest of Individual Suspected of Murdering, Mutilating Woman’s Body – Security Source

Casablanca – Police officers from the Casablanca police prefecture arrested, on Saturday evening, an individual suspected of murdering and mutilating the corpse of a woman with a knife, a security source said.

The 43-year-old suspect was arrested in Lamkansa neighborhood in Casablanca after research and technical expertise revealed that he was involved in the murder of a 37-year-old woman and the concealment of her body in a refrigerator in a house in Ben M’sik in Casablanca, the same source said.

The security services had discovered the body of the victim on April 5 in a refrigerator in a house in Messaoudia neighborhood in Ben M’sik which required the opening of a judicial investigation that led to the identification and arrest of the accused.

The accused was placed in custody for the purposes of the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office to determine the motive for this crime, concluded the same source.
