In its March and April issue, the prestigious monthly magazine also discussed the evolution of Moroccan-Mexican ties on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, while highlighting the progress made by the Kingdom in diversifying and modernizing its economic fabric.
Over the years, Morocco has developed a pioneering economic model based on industry, agriculture, services and international trade, taking advantage of its strategic geographical location and its openness to the world, the publication noted.
Emphasis was also placed on strengthening and diversifying the national industrial ecosystem, particularly in the automotive sector, which has propelled the Kingdom to the forefront of producers of passenger cars in Africa and the Arab world.
In an interview granted to the Mexican magazine, the Moroccan ambassador to Mexico, Abdelfattah Lebbar, reviewed the various aspects of the development of the Kingdom, as well as the strengthening of cooperation between Rabat and Mexico City at several levels.
Lebbar noted that Morocco has become in recent years a major platform for investment at the international level.
The Kingdom has launched an ambitious program of structural reforms in several areas, focused on liberalizing the economy and improving the competitiveness of businesses, he added.
The diplomat stressed that His Majesty King Mohammed VI has given a strong impetus to this dynamic of reforms and deep economic and social transformation, allowing the country to accelerate its march towards a sustainable human development model.
He stressed that this momentum is also illustrated through large-scale infrastructure projects, such as the port of Tangier Med, the first port in the Mediterranean, the extension of the highway and rail network, including the launch of new high-speed train lines, as well as ambitious projects for the production of renewable and clean energy.
Referring to Moroccan-Mexican relations, the diplomat stressed the common willingness to further strengthen cooperation and explore new avenues of partnership, especially in the areas of industry, agriculture, energy, tourism and technology.
