Agadir: Police Arrest Individual for Alleged Involvement in Drug Possession, Trafficking

Agadir – Elements of the anti-gang brigade under the police prefecture of Agadir arrested, Sunday, an individual with a criminal record, for his alleged involvement in a case of possession and trafficking of drugs, a security source said.

The 46-year-old defendant was arrested in the neighborhood “Amsernat” in Agadir, according to the same source, adding that the search operation conducted in this case, allowed the seizure of 1170 psychotropic tablets, as well as a bundle of chira and a knife.

The checking operation in the data base of the national police revealed that the defendant is the subject of a search notice at the national level for his alleged involvement in drug trafficking, underlined the same source.

He was placed in custody to complete the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor, to elucidate the ins and outs of this case and determine the criminal acts for which he is accused.
