“This is the first time that the Moroccan handicraft participates in this prestigious fair, considered the most important event in the world of furniture and design. A participation that reinforces the momentum recorded by the products of the Moroccan handicrafts on foreign markets,” said the Ministry in a statement.
Accompanied by the Ministry and the House of Crafts, seventeen Moroccan companies, known for the originality and authenticity of their creations, will represent Morocco in Milan, the world capital of design, said the statement, noting that the Moroccan master craftsmen and designers will exhibit their products and know-how collectively in a pavilion of nearly 200 m2, designed by the famous designer Hicham Lahlou, who also curates the Moroccan participation in this edition.
This modern pavilion but firmly rooted in Morocco’s architectural traditions, was specially designed by the architect Mohammed Benadiba to highlight the creations “Morocco Handmade” while highlighting each brand.
For six days, the Moroccan delegation will also multiply meetings with professionals of the development and housing, manufacturers, interior designers, journalists and design professionals from around the world present in Milan for this 61st edition of the “Salon Del Mobile Milano”.
