This year, the Agency proceeded to the lighting of the lanterns of Al Quds, a symbolic operation financed by the Kingdom of Morocco, bringing together ten associations form the Holy City, with the contribution of the Association Moroccan Cultural Center – House of Morocco in Al Quds.
This operation required a financial sum estimated at 100 thousand dollars, which financed the lighting of Ramadan lanterns in the Old City, Burj Al-Luqluq, Silwan, Wadi Al-Joz, Al-Isawiya, Beit Hanina, Shuafat and Jabel Mukaber, in order to revive the Palestinian heritage and enliven the Ramadan evenings.
The agency’s program for the month of fasting also included the launch of social assistance for vulnerable categories with a sum of 100,000 dollars, distributed to nearly a thousand families, including 124 orphans sponsored by the agency, 500 poor families, 131 guardians of schools in Al Quds and 80 families of people in difficult circumstances.
On the other hand, this year was marked by the organization, on April 12, of the 2nd forum of people with special needs, a date declared by the Agency annual day dedicated to this category. This event was marked by the signing of a partnership agreement for the financing of empowerment projects for these people with the Association for Arab Persons with Disabilities.
