A total of 293 Moroccans had arrived Wednesday from Sudan in two RAM flights carrying 136 and 157 passengers respectively.
The evacuation operations of Moroccans from Sudan takes place pursuant to the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to ensure the repatriation of Moroccan nationals from this country in the best conditions.
On Monday, a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates indicated that “following the recent events in the Republic of Sudan and the deterioration of the security situation in this brotherly country, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God glorify Him, has given His High Instructions to ensure the repatriation of Moroccan nationals from this country”.
In accordance with the High Royal Instructions, the services of the embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Sudan have, in a first phase, organized a land caravan from the capital Khartoum to the city of Port-Sudan, which benefited more than 200 Moroccan nationals established in Sudan or whose presence in this country coincided with this difficult domestic situation, added the ministry, specifying that this land caravan arrived this Monday evening safely in the city of Port-Sudan.
