Sudan Crisis: Repatriated Nationals Thank HM the King, Express Joy after Returning Home

Rabat – Moroccan nationals who have been evacuated from Sudan on board the fourth RAM airplane landing, Tuesday, at the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, expressed their gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI and their joy to return to the homeland in good conditions.

In statements to M24, they expressed their gratitude to HM the King, who has kindly given His High Instructions, for enabling them to return to the homeland in good conditions following the deterioration of the security situation in Khartoum and other areas of the country.

He added that this is a saving royal initiative that has guaranteed them a safe return in good conditions alongside their families.

Similarly, women and men have expressed their joy to return home safely and in good conditions, saying they are happy to overcome this ordeal and return to the homeland.

They took this opportunity to praise the efforts made by the Moroccan Embassy in Khartoum in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates to ensure the success of this operation.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that, in application of the High Royal Instructions for the establishment of an air bridge to ensure the repatriation of Moroccan citizens from Sudan following the deterioration of the security situation in this sister country, a RAM airplane landed this Tuesday at the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca with 125 people on board.

With the arrival of this fourth plane, the air bridge deployed in application of the High Instructions of HM the King, may God glorify him, in coordination with Royal Air Maroc, has reached its final phase. The total number of returnees has reached 572 people, said the same source.
