Nearly 700 Journalists Cover SIAM 2023

Meknes – Nearly 700 journalists accredited in Morocco and internationally are covering the 15th edition of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco (SIAM), organized from 2 to 7 May in Meknes, on the theme “Generation Green: For a sustainable food sovereignty”.

Deployed on an area of 18 hectares (Ha) of which 11 Ha covered, the SIAM, which is among the largest events in Africa dedicated to agriculture and agricultural stakeholders, is a key event to present the progress of Morocco in the field and confirm the crucial role played by the sector as one of the major drivers of economic growth.

Organized under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 15th SIAM offers thousands of visitors, both professionals and the public, a range of products and agricultural machinery to promote agricultural and animal production and enhance the key sectors of the regional economy, including agribusiness.

This edition, marked by the participation of more than 68 countries, hosts, for the first time, the Pavilion “Village Start-ups”, a new pole set up at the initiative of the General Commission of the Exhibition and hosts about thirty national and international start-ups around a program combining round tables, conferences and immersive demonstrations.

The United Kingdom is the guest of honor for this 2023 edition, which marks the return of this international event after a three-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 crisis.
