This agreement signed on the sidelines of the 10th consultative meeting of the Association of Senates, Shoora and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World (ASSECAA), held from 11 to 13 May in Ezulwini, establishes a framework for cooperation and exchange between the two parties for consultation, upgrading, management capacity building and human resource development.
It is meant to promote bilateral parliamentary relations through establishing a framework for cooperation based on programs that will be implemented in the form of an annual action plan.
The aim is to improve the quality of parliamentary services, simplify administrative processes and modernize e-government, promote the exchange and mutual development of research on legislation and manage knowledge in areas related to parliamentary action.
In a statement to MAP, Mayara stressed that this agreement is part of Morocco’s efforts to promote exchanges of experience and expertise and support initiatives to strengthen relations between the two countries.
He added that the protocol of parliamentary cooperation will allow human resources of both institutions to benefit from training workshops, in order to strengthen the capacity of both institutions in monitoring government action.
