The Conference, which is attended by the Director General of the National Railways Office (ONCF), Rabie Khlie, deals with the issues of innovation and digitization, smart railway stations, digitalization of logistics services, as well as environmental aspects.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, which was attended by the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyane, the UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazroui said that the rail transport sector plays a major role in achieving prosperity and overall development in its three axes economic, commercial and tourism, in addition to its environmental and climate achievements.
The two-day conference, which is attended by more than 10,000 participants, including 400 speakers and more than 300 exhibitors, examines issues related to the connection of ports to the rail network, as well as aspects related to sustainability and financing.
