Fez: 4th edition of DGSN Open Days Kicks off

Fez – The 4th edition of the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) open days kicked off, Wednesday in Fez, under the theme: “67 years of continuous modernization for a citizen public service”.

This initiative, which will run until May 21, aims to inform the public about the modernization efforts put in place to ensure the safety of people and property and preserve public order.

Several stands were made available to visitors by the DGSN including “operational chain of intervention”, “technology and dematerialization”, “scientific police”, “smart borders”, “recruitment, training-career”, “women and minors victims of violence”, “moralization and human rights” and “martyrs of duty”.

The program of this event also features demonstrations of the “equestrian brigade”, the “motorcycle brigade”, “close protection and intervention units (BCI)”, “special forces”, the “dog squad”, “military march and weapons handling” and “techniques of self-defense and control of dangerous people”.

This initiative began in 2016 in Casablanca and has been institutionalized to become an annual event that gives the population an opportunity to come and discover the various facets of the police profession and to talk with police officers.
