Minister Ait Taleb Holds Meetings in Geneva on Cooperation in Health Sector

Geneva – The strengthening of cooperation in the field of health has been at the center of bilateral meetings of the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb, in Geneva, on the sidelines of his participation in the 76th session of the World Health Assembly.

The bilateral meetings the Minister had with his counterparts from Portugal, Spain, Bangladesh, Zambia and Oman were an opportunity to strengthen the channels of cooperation between Morocco and these countries in the field of health and social protection, as well as to exchange expertise and experiences regarding the management of health problems of common interest.

On this occasion, the Moroccan pioneering experience in the management of the Covid-19 pandemic was highlighted, as well as Morocco’s willingness to share it with other countries as part of a sustainable partnership.

It was also discussed the projects launched by Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in terms of generalization of medical coverage and social protection, in accordance with Morocco’s commitments in this area, notably the achievement of sustainable development goals by 2030.
