Gabon: Ministry of Agriculture Gets Ready to Distribute Fertilizers Handed by HM the King to Farmers (Statement)

Libreville – The Gabonese Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Rural Development is getting ready to launch a major operation to distribute fertilizers recently handed by HM King Mohammed VI to farmers in the country’s nine provinces.

“Logistics have been put in place to transport and store the bags of fertilizer in the country’s 9 provinces,” the Ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry of Agriculture then announced that, in partnership with the OCP Group, it had organized training for distribution managers and certain agricultural cooperatives in the use of these fertilizers.

His Majesty the King handed over, last February in Libreville, a donation of 2,000 tons of fertilizers to Gabonese farmers.

This solidarity action is part of the Kingdom of Morocco’s concern for Gabonese farmers, particularly in the current context, marked by the global food crisis and fertilizer supply difficulties.
