Morocco’s Lower House, Israel’s Knesset Sign MoU

Rabat – The House of Representatives and the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, signed a memorandum of understanding in Rabat on Thursday, covering the development of parliamentary relations at the legislative level and in other areas of parliamentary action.

The memorandum of understanding, signed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami and the Speaker of the Knesset Amir Ohana, aims to develop parliamentary cooperation between the two parties with a view to consolidating friendly relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and Israel.

It also aims to strengthen cooperation between the House of Representatives and the Knesset in various areas of common interest, and to promote relations between the two legislative institutions in order to ensure the exchange of experience in the fields of legislation and parliamentary action.

Earlier in the day, the Speaker of the Knesset held talks with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, as part of his visit to Morocco, during which he will hold meetings with other officials.
