Interfaith Dialogue: HM the King’s Message Reflects Morocco’s Commitment to Spreading Tolerance (Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Pres.)

Marrakech – President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, welcomed on Wednesday in Marrakech, the content of the message addressed by HM King Mohammed VI to the participants in the Parliamentary Conference on Interfaith Dialogue, considering that it reflects Morocco’s constant commitment to serve as a bridge to spread love, tolerance and peace in the world.

“Participants are accustomed to the distinguished and positive messages given by His Majesty the King in the service of humanity,” said Al Jarwan in a statement to MAP, following his talks with speaker of the House of Representatives and the House of Advisors, on the sidelines of the conference, which runs until June 15 under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

The Royal Message includes important themes and aspects that are at the heart of the conference’s proceedings, he explained, adding that it constitutes a roadmap and a method for participants to follow in implementing its content, based on a global approach to work initiatives and numerous partnerships.

After praising the excellent exchanges with the speakers of the two Houses of Parliament, which focused mainly on support for the values of tolerance and peace, Al Jarwan commended the success of this Conference, both in terms of organization, themes and panels, in addition to the remarkable attendance of participants, highlighting the quality of discussions in light of the Royal message which aims to protect humanity through the religious component.

He also emphasized the role of academics and religious leaders in spreading the values of tolerance and peace in academic and parliamentary work, and in international partnership, in order to serve the goals of humanity and carry the heavenly message.
